Rainy Day Blues

It's just plain ol' cold and rainy today. Yuck. But that also means birds at the feeders, all-be-it waterlogged birds.
These poor critters were enduring the muck and mess to have a bit of suet and seed. Too bad I couldn't loan them a scarf and umbrella.
Yesterday afternoon I got a couple shots of this grey squirrel gathering dry leaves for it's nest. I suppose some repairs and plugs were needed. Reminds me that spring is on it's way and soon the nest will be filled with babies. :)

I love the birds but especially enjoyed the nesting squirrel...they're so much fun to watch and the thought of spring is great!
