Damselflies
Published by Christy under on 8:13 AM
I decided to go to the park yesterday morning after having been Sunday night and not seeing any dragonflies at the water. I enjoyed my time with the ducks and ducklings, but decided that I would concentrate on getting some good dragonfly shots and maybe some damsels too. Well, as the day would go, the sun was harsh and the mud was deep, so the pictures did turn out as nice as I had wished. None-the-less, I enjoyed myself and the critters and even had a rather friendly damselfly land on me several times to sun itself.
Violet Dancer - Argia fumipennis violacea (A subspecies of the Variable Dancer)

I also saw several Blue Dasher dragonflies and some small red dragons I have not identified yet.

And finally, who could resist taking a ton of photos of these precious little babies?
