Here's a pair of mourning doves that were kind enough to allow me to sneak around them for a few shots.

These are some of the most beautiful birds around, in my opinion. Their soft coos are a welcome reprise to the buzz of traffic and the stagnant heat of the day. Oddly enough, the 'whistling' noise that you hear when these birds fly away is created by the wind breaking against their wings, and not a vocalization as you might suspect.
