New Favorites and Old Reliables

This year has seen the pine warbler become one of my most favorite birds. They're pretty, inquisitive, and sometimes just plain ol' funny. Today was no exception, with 3 warblers making appearances throughout the morning, one of which decided that he would try the finch feeders and hummingbird feeders out for a change. (They usually stick to eating the suet cakes.)

A few mornings ago during some fog, a red winged blackbird showed up at the feeders and hung around for a bit. A lone cedar waxwing even graced us with his presence yesterday afternoon.
And what a surprise to see this fellow land at my feeders this morning! I'm going to put out some meal worms so he and his pallys will visit more often.

Several wrens have been making appearances as well. Usually I only see one every few days or so, but I put some peanut butter out yesterday and they really seem to enjoy it!

Christy I have a pair of wrens that love suet but I have to put it in a feeder apart from the others since they don't like the activity at the big feeders. Try something small that the big birds can't land on.
btw...all of your photos are lovely and I'm really enjoying them.
