Now it's common knowledge that we just don't get a lot of the white stuff down here in the south, but Sunday night it snowed and we got a pretty fair amount! 6 to 12 inches in some spots. It was GREAT! I think I spent the majority of yesterday out with the camera, the scene was just so beautiful. I took almost 700 photos! Of course, after weeding through them the 'ok' shots were numbered WAY below 700. :)

These guys were out sledding around with a four wheeler and their dog! I think the dog was even enjoying it.

This lone grackle showed up at one of the feeding stations yesterday for some suet. It was so funny to watch. As the snow would fall from the trees, the grackle seemed to be opening it's mouth specifically to catch the flakes as they drifted by.

Such beautiful light even makes my compost bins look pretty!

Bluebirds are just cute. This fellow was sitting on top of an old okra stalk with one of his buddies...till I grabbed the camera of course. I did manage to get a few shots of one of them though. They are pretty severely cropped, hence the size, but he's still just the cutest thing!

I'm in the process of renovating and trying out some new looks for the blog so it may take a minute more to load. Happy New Year...again!
